I got all dressed up for the Labor Day party, hoping to impress Dan, but not expecting much of it. Fate must have been smiling on me that night, though, because I was suddenly presented with an opportunity to invite him up to the loft to ask him about something. Things progressed beautifully from there - from friendly conversation to the gentlest kisses I'd ever had. We were up there for hours. Yes, there was kissing, as well as slow, tentative touching, but mostly we just talked. I could talk to him like I'd never been able to talk to anyone. And by the time we parted, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. And here we are, nine months, and it gets better every day.
